Give us an explanation for your gear choices, including why you prioritize certain stats:

A very generalised view of Holy Pala stat weights are Crit>Mastery=Vers>Haste. In reality these stats change value depending on the current amount of each on your gear.

The most important is crit, there are a number of breakpoints regarding this stat - 30% is the avenging wrath 100% crit chance on holy shock breakpoint but obviously AW is not up throughout a fight so this should not be seen as a cap. For healers especially it is important to be effective outside of CDs as there is still a very important job to be done and so increasing this % its still extremely beneficial. I enjoyed playing with just over 40% crit but with current gear available not being totally optimised and allowing for the darkmoon deck I am sitting comfortably in the mid to high 30s which currently works very well from my testing. With 2 set (15% extra crit on HS) coming eventually we can push for 42.5% crit and have 100% crit chance on all HS even without CDs. Any more crit would be a waste and its value falls to the bottom of the list.

After crit there is a very close battle between mastery and vers, each with their benefits. Mastery is massively beneficial if the raid is stacked and if not gains maximum benefit if the paladin is positioned correctly at each phase of a fight to be as close to other players requiring the heals without messing up and mechanics in the process. For pure throughput value mastery is very strong but is not necessarily very reliable. On a number of fights, ursoc for example, stacking with the raid means you gain a huge amount of throughput from mastery.

Vers is a much more reliable stat than mastery for holy paladins but does not provide nearly as much (theoretical) throughput. The damage reduction element of vers should not be underestimated though. Overall a balance of mastery/vers will be the generic build but for certain fights specific high mastery items could be utilised.

Haste is the lowest priority for mythic raiding as it can significantly reduce your efficiency. It allows you to heal more by casting more spells which in tail costs more mana as compared to just increasing the flat healing of a spell like mastery or vers. Haste does have a strong place in mythic + dungeons where mana efficiency is less of an issue and faster heals and more burst is needed. It should be noted that haste provides a very strong dps increase for holy paladins which should not be ignored as holy paladin dps is quite impressive, especially in 5 mans.

Currently I am running with full crit enchants and gems as current gear is not optimised amazingly. I also use the dreamguard spreadsheet for holy paladins which calculates current stat weights to give myself an idea of what im aiming for in terms of gear. I like to test this out myself as i believe personal testing is just as important.

Do you have any logs from your recent raids?

Personal information:

Age: 23
Country: UK
Do you have any upcoming events or plans that will make you unavailable for a long period of time (such as holidays/exams, etc)? One exam in December (shouldn't affect raids), Short holiday in January (3rd-6th I believe) and two exams in May 2017.

Meeting the requirements:

What is your normal latency(ms) and FPS during raids?

Generally have 20-30ms and 40+ during raids even on pull.

Can you raid on all of our raid days (Wednesday, Sunday, Monday)?

Raid days and times are ideal for me.

Do you have Mumble/Teamspeak/Ventrilo installed and are you willing to speak?

Yes and yes.

Your Raiding Background:

Please give a brief overview of your guild history and what is the reason for leaving your current/last guild?

I have been raiding properly since TBC but the main notable guilds would start in WotLK where i raided with Reign (Quel'thalas) through most of the expansion killing LK25HC at about 200WR i believe. I then did not play for cata or MoP and came back at the start of WoD.

In WoD i raided with Bifrost (Kazzak) for a short time until they disbanded. After Bifrost i joined a friends guild and ended up in Endless (Kazzak) where i raided for about 10 months before a guild mate convinced me we should be in a better guild. We applied and got accepted to Huhuholics (Tarren Mill) who were a lot better than Endless and I cruised in and passed trial very easily. Unfortunately I just really didnt enjoy raiding there at all which did not affect my performance but wasnt somewhere I wanted to invest a lot of my time. They did not want to see me go but i didnt see a future there. Sometimes grass isnt greener on the other side so I went back to play with my friends in Endless.

I explained the more detailed story already to Edgey but essentially I have stayed in Endless through a lot of hard times and I am sad to be saying goodbye, but frustration through lack of progress mainly due to very little effort or care being put in by a number of players has pushed me away. I have tried very hard to help the guild out wherever i could whether that was assisting with recruitment, tactics, log analysis etc but at the end of the day my efforts have pushed me further away because it is not the right atmosphere for me to play in. I made my complaints clear to the officer team and after a couple of weeks they decided we would part ways as our mindsets are no longer compatible.

What websites/resources do you use to keep yourself updated on the game and your class?

I use the holy paladin discord and the dreamguard spreadsheet for giving me an idea for statweights. Occasionally look at the sacred shielding guide but other than that mostly I like to test things out for myself.

What do you expect from us?

I expect a very organised guild with focused raids and a group of people all aiming to beat content as fast as possible. I expect a lot of effort to be put in by everyone involved and to enjoy the raids while progressing as well as farming. Also a team that responds well to constructive feedback and doesnt want to "push shit under the carpet".

Where did you hear about us?

Lastly, is there anything else you'd like to mention?

I enjoy to push myself and perform better each time I do something, I would love to be given the opportunity to do this with a group of people who think the same.

Thanks for taking the time to read my application and any constructive criticism is greatly appreciated
